More About Dr. Ray

Transparency should begin long before someone takes office, and my life reflects a belief in God’s ability to redeem every chapter.

I am a survivor who has overcome childhood abuse, poverty, homelessness, and domestic violence. As a single mother of four, I worked full time while earning my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, all while caring for my mother during her battle with cancer. Her passing strengthened my commitment to serving others.

In time, I married my best friend, who adopted our children, and together we began fostering to support families in crisis. Though we never planned to adopt again, God led us to welcome three siblings to keep them together.

In 2017, God placed on my heart the vision for Restoration Family Services (RFS), a Christ-centered child-placing agency with wraparound support. With the help of my twin sister and her husband—both retired veterans—RFS grew to nearly fifty homes in its first year, rooted in compassion and integrity.

My journey has taught me the power of unity. Kansas does not have to mirror the division seen across our nation. Together, we can stand strong, serve one another, and build a thriving, self-sufficient state.
